The first is a 3.5-liter V6 with 278 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. This engine will be the first choice for most buyers, but you can also choose a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 159 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque.
While this four-cylinder engine will be the first option for those who want a pickup truck that amazes with its fuel economy, the fact remains that it is also quite impressive on the road. So is the V6, and depending on the engine you choose you can tow between 3,500 pounds and 6,500 pounds with your 2018 Toyota Tacoma.
A manual transmission is available as is a six-speed automatic. There are also different engine configurations with rear-wheel drive 4x2 systems or a 4x4 cog equipped with an on-demand 4WD system and a 2-range transfer case with an adjustable differential.
